Education
Dr. Wilson is a graduate of Yale, received his MD at Iowa, post-graduate training in Psychiatry at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School and subsequently a Ph.D. in Biological Anthropology at Cambridge University.
Professional Experience
Dr. Wilson served as attending faculty psychiatrist at McLean and Harvard for six years and gained further expertise in the genetics, neuropsychiatry, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy of mood and psychotic disorders in addition to much practical experience in student health psychiatry, forensics and medical administration.
Thereafter, Dr. Wilson was Professor of Psychiatry, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Medical Director of the University Institute for Psychiatry and Law. He also served as Medical Director of the Ohio Department of Mental Health-Summit Behavioral Health and Chief Clinical Officer for Intensive and Specialized (Inpatient) Services.
Dr. Wilson serves on a wide variety of professional committees and maintains an active clinical, administrative and consultative practice.
Honors
Dr. Wilson has received many honors including the Slyster Scholar (AMA), Falk Fellowship (APA), Rotary Fellow for Cambridge University, Life Fellow of the International Society of Police Surgeon and Overseas Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute.
Publications
Dr. Wilson has authored over 100 papers, books, chapters and other scientific communications over a range of subjects including psychiatric diagnosis, psychopharmacology, forensics and evolutionary medicine.
