Education
Dr. Chu obtained his medical degree from Korea University School of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. He completed his psychiatric residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Missouri Institute of Psychiatry in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Professional Experience
Dr. Chu is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He serves on the medical staffs of St. Joseph Hospital, the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, University of Nebraska Medical Center and Immanuel Medical Center. He currently dedicates much of his time to the education of medical students and residents.
Honors
Dr. Chu has received numerous awards and honors, including Outstanding Faculty Member as chosen by the psychiatric residents of the Nebraska Psychiatric Institute in 1984, the Golden Apple Teaching Award by the residents of the Creighton-Nebraska Department of Psychiatry in 2000 and has been named to the Best Doctors in America: Central Region in 1996 and 1998.
Publications
Dr. Chu has published many articles in psychiatric journals and has served as principal and co-investigator for numerous pharmaceutical trials. His current interests lie in schizophrenia, mood disorders, psychopharmacology and cross-cultural psychiatry.
